Exmoor Survival Guide

Exmoor's landscape rises from sea level to 519m in a short distance boasting the highest sea cliffs in England. High moorland areas can often be several degrees colder than at sea level and therefore we advise taking this into consideration, especially when walking.

Even on the hottest July summers day the moorlands can be very wet underfoot due to their important water retaining qualities, so walking boots, preferably waterproof, and a good map are essential off road if you are planning on covering any distance.

Mobile phone reception can be restricted over most of Exmoor so please take this into consideration when enjoying your day out.
