On Sunday 13th July 2008 Marie Curie Cancer Care is holding a new walking event on Exmoor National Park at Wimbleball Lake, Dulverton, Somerset. This is to celebrate 60 years of Marie Curie Cancer Care in Somerset.
The circular route is 9 miles in length and takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete, allowing plenty of opportunity to savour the spectacular surroundings and for those who know the area; the sights are always worth another venture as Exmoor has some of the finest scenery that Britain has to offer!
"This is a great day out for the whole family so tell all your friends about it so they don't miss out as places are filling up fast." says Julia Chapman, Somerset Community Fundraiser. Registration for this event is £5.00 per adult (Children free) we also ask that each adult aims to raise £50.00 in sponsorship.
All monies raised will go towards the Marie Curie Cancer Care nursing service who help terminally ill cancer patients spend their last days at home surrounded by friends and family.
