2010 North Devon & Exmoor Walking Festival

Gallax Hill

2010 Festival - More choice, more food walks & more accessible!

As usual the festival has a great range of walks each day to choose from. These include half-day walks through to full day hikes. Exmoor offers the more challenging walks and North Devon countryside gives the walker some pleasant rolling country strolls.

To confirm our strap-line as the most scenic walking festival, Country Life magazine has again voted Devon as the best county in 2009 - but of course we all knew that!
You'll see that the festival organiser has worked hard to make many of the walks accessible via public transport.

The Spring North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival takes place every May around the May Day Bank Holiday. The Autumn North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival takes place around the first weekend in October.

The Spring Festival
The North Devon & Exmoor Walking Festival is now in its 10th year and has grown to become one of the largest walking festivals in the UK. With over 80 guided walks ranging from shorter 2 mile half day walks to lengthier 10 mile routes, you're sure to find the perfect walk for you.
This year there is more choice than ever and, due to popular demand, the number of walks with food have been increased, yum!

The Autumn Festival
Through popular request the 4-day festival has been created as well as the 9-day walking festival in early May. This is a great time of year to be out walking, with the start of the autumn colours and berries on the bushes.

To view and book on to the walks, please visit the festival web site, or call Ilfracombe Tourist Information Centre (TIC) on 01271 863001.
