The Phoenix Ride

Phoenix Ride

The Phoenix Ride is a new endurance event on the east side of Exmoor at Treborough Common, about 4 miles East of Wheddon Cross on the B3224. This venue provides easy access from the road and ample parking for both trailers and lorries of any size.

The route is completely new, consisting of three loops which combine to make up the required class distances:

  • A 34km loop south of the venue, to Wimbleball Lake
  • A 31km loop north of the venue, over land owned by the Crown Estate
  • An 18km loop west of the venue to Kennisham Hill

The Phoenix Pleasure Ride classes have two options, Class 6 is ridden over a distance of 34km and class 7 over a distance of 18km.

Proceeds from the Pleasure Ride will be donated to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. The entry fee for both distances is £20 for riders who are not members of Endurance GB. This entry fee includes third party liability insurance for the ride.

Entries must be received by Monday 20 July 2009 at the latest.

The organisers will not accept any entries on the day, without exception.

The Phoenix Ride 2009 will be on 2nd August
