Wimbleball Lake - RYA Junior Sailing Courses

Wimbleball is the ideal venue for sailing with no tides to worry about. The consistent winds enable learning in a safe and fun environment.

RYA Junior Stages 1 & 2 (Two days each)
Have fun whilst learning to control your own boat. Over the three days you will learn to turn your boat around and before you know it, sail around a simple course.
£145 per person.

RYA Junior Stages 3 & 4 (Two days each)
Having learnt the basics and reached stage 2 competency, develop your skills further through sailing in all directions along with new skills and manoeuvres.
£145 per person.

Junior Club (8 - 16 years) -
For complete beginners to the more advanced. The junior club gives youngsters the opportunity to learn to sail or windsurf in a fun and safe environment. Saturday Mornings from 10 April

Annual membership fee £40, and £9 per session, or £15 per one -off session.
Kayaking and rafting when coditions are suitable.

Oppie Sessions (1.5 hrs) (6 - 10 years) -
Learn to sail in the fun specially designed smaller boats.
£12 or £9 for Junior club members.

Road Directions

From Tiverton take the A396, follow brown signs from the Exeter Inn roundabout to Bampton & then Wimbleball.

From Dunster take the A396 towards Dulverton; follow brown signs at Machine Cross.

From Taunton take the A39 to Washford Cross, and then the B3190 towards Bampton, the turning for Wimbleball is signed from this road.
