UK Ironman 70.3 triathlon
The UK Ironman 70.3 triathlon, held at Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor, consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. 1,500 athletes compete for a an opportunity to qualify for one of the 100 qualifying slots for the inaugural Ford Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida.
Six of the Ironman 70.3 global events will carry slots for the Ford Ironman World Championship, which is double the distance and held in Hawaii each October!

Qualifying events are held all around the world at venues including California, St Criox, Florida, Baja, Honu, Scandinacia, Brazil, Monaco and Cancun Mexico.
Race organisers, IRONMAN UK, are now proud to add Exmoor to this global IRONMAN list.
The Wimbleball event in June offers 100 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater, Florida - in November.
